INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SCIENCE AT WHSC
Our college celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with a number of activities to recognise the valuable contribution women make to the various fields of Science.
In Lower Primary School (P-2) students engaged in a range of activities thinking about the concept of a scientist. In Upper Primary (3-6), students heard from a scientist about what she does in her field of work, and discussed this as a class. Lastly in Secondary, Junior female students participated in a workshop, and Senior female students listened to a panel discussion.
Thank you to the very talented women who have given up their time to help inspire our students at WHSC. Over 20 leading scientists in their fields contributed and we thank them for inspiring the next group of scientists and for showing our young women that a future in science is not only possible…but theirs for the taking!
