FROM OUR COLLEGE PRINCIPAL

End of Term 1 Wrap-Up and Looking Ahead to Term 2

As Term 1 comes to a close, it’s a great time to reflect on all that has been achieved in these first ten weeks of the school year. From the excitement of our first day back to the many learning experiences, special events, and achievements along the way, it has been a productive and rewarding term.

This term has been filled with academic milestones, extracurricular successes, and opportunities for students to grow both personally and socially. We have seen outstanding effort from students across all year levels, with many embracing new challenges and demonstrating resilience in their learning. Our student leadership teams have stepped into their roles with enthusiasm, helping to foster a strong sense of college spirit and community. The P&C Easter Raffle and other fundraisers have been a great success, with participation from families, staff, and students. Congratulations to our newly elected 2025 P&C Executive Committee, and a huge thank you to all outgoing members for their hard work and dedication to our school.

A special mention goes to our entire college community for the resilience, patience, and understanding demonstrated during the unexpected four-day school closure due to TC Alfred. These disruptions are never easy, but the way students, staff, and families adapted and supported one another was truly commendable. Ensuring the safety of everyone was our top priority, and we are grateful for the cooperation and flexibility shown by all.

Despite some disruptions due to wet weather, including the postponement of the Primary Cross Country to Wednesday (morning) 23 April, and our Secondary Cross Country to Wednesday (afternoon) 23 April, we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.
