THE RESILIENCE PROJECT AT WHSC
Our school partnership aims to INSPIRE and ENGAGE the whole college community – students, staff, parents and carers through GEM (Gratitude, Empathy & Mindfulness) and emotional literacy principles. We are committed to supporting the mental health and well being of every student.
Recently several of our teachers attended The Resilience Project Educators Conference, gaining valuable insights, tools and strategies to strengthen student wellbeing in the classroom. We’re incredibly grateful to our P & C for generously funding this professional development opportunity. Their support ensures our staff are equipped with the latest knowledge to help students thrive, both emotionally and academically.
Mental health plays a crucial role in how our children learn, build relationships, and manage life’s challenges. Through this program, students develop practical ways to take care of their mental health – learning to reflect on what they are grateful for, show kindness to others and be more present in the moment.
Our partnership program with TRP consists of weekly lessons for all of our students as well as access for our parents and carers to the Parent and Carer Hub. Links have been sent to our college families which give access to some excellent strategies that can support the learning and development of our students and also support you as parents and carers. Thank you for being partners in your child’s wellbeing.
